MECA Hires New VP
Scott Kavanaugh joins Metropolitan Entertainment & Convention Authority as VP of Operations

The Metropolitan Entertainment & Convention Authority in Omaha, Neb., has announced the addition of Scott Kavanaugh as vice president of Operations. He brings 21 years of experience in hotel, stadium, arena and convention center management to his new position. Most recently, Kavanaugh worked at Utah Valley Convention Center in Provo as director of Operations. He opened the facility, hired staff and developed best practices for the facility. Before his time in Utah, Kavanaugh was general manager of the Sioux Falls (S.D.) Convention Center.
