Randy Smith Climbs at Visit Charlotte

Randy Smith, who has been with Visit Charlotte, N.C., since 2003, takes on his new role as assistant director of Sales from Rebecca Ramsey. Ramsey leaves for a similar role in Madison, Wis. Smith has extensive experience in the hotel industry, having worked as director of Sales with Radisson Hotels, director of Marketing at the SouthPark Suite Hotel, director of Sales and Asst. GM at the Park Hotel and director of Sales at the Renaissance Charlotte Suites Hotel. He is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and has earned his Certified Meeting Professional designation.
