Cirque Tribute Show to Michael Jackson Nets $10.3M

Michael Jackson proved he's the King of California this week with four Golden State stops produced by Cirque du Soleil making their way to the top of the charts. Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour grossed $10.3 million with 10 shows in Los Angeles, Anaheim, Oakland and Ontario.
Special events kept the L.A. Live campus buzzing this week — the Latin focused Calibash Festival produced by Goldenvoice at Staples Center featured Wisin & Yandel, Jowel and Randy and Ivy Queen and brought in $1.2 million. The People's Choice Awards on Jan. 11 at Nokia Theatre L.A. Live grossed $456,185 and included appearances by Katy Perry, Rihanna and Demi Lovato.
