Sade and American Idols Live wrap tours

Sade grossed close to $1 million with her performance at U.S. Airways Center in Phoenix, Sept. 2. The Live Nation-promoted show sold tickets for a huge price range from $11.50-$520.25. This represents the last stop on the singer's first tour in 10 years, which played shows around the world. The tour kicked off at Palais Nikaia in Nice, France, and included shows at Ericsson Globe in Stockholm, Sweden; Saku Arena in Tallinn, Estonia; Sydney Entertainment Centre in Australia; Yas Arena in Abu Dhabi, UAE, among others, as well as across the U.S.

Jason Aldean brings country to the Hot Tickets chart this week, with three shows on the East Coast. His Aug. 25 date at Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in Darien Center, N.Y., had the highest gross, earning just more than $800,000. The performances at Farm Bureau Live Amphitheater in Virginia Beach and Bethel (N.Y.) Woods Center for the Arts both grossed in the $600,000-range. Aldean next plays at DTE Energy Music Theatre in Clarkston, Mich., Sept. 13 and Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre St. Louis in Maryland Heights, Mo., Sept. 14.

The most prominent tour on the chart is American Idols Live, with five dates appearing on Hot Tickets. Ticket prices ranged from $29.50-$66 for all shows, with the highest grossing and attended date being the Sept. 7 performance at Atlantic City (N.J.) Boardwalk Hall. The tour wrapped Sept. 11 at the Bradley Center in Milwaukee, Wis.
