Springsteen proves there's no place like home

Bruce Springsteen proved just how popular he is in his home state of New Jersey with three shows at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford Sept. 19-22. With ticket prices ranging from $68-$98, 152,290 fans came out to support their hometown hero, leading to a gross of more than $14 million. Next, Springsteen plays at Scotiabank Place in Ottawa, Ontario, Oct. 19, and moves on to Copps Coliseum in Hamilton, Ontario, Oct. 21.
Justin Bieber launched his tour in support of "Believe." He played at Save Mart Center in Fresno, Calif., and nearly 12,000 fans attended the Oct. 5 show. The tour, promoted by AEG Live, continued the next night at Oracle Arena in Oakland, Calif. Tickets ranged $41.75-$89.50, leading to a gross of more than $1 million. "Beliebers" also got a chance to see the Canadian teen heartthrob play at MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas Sept. 30, and at Staples Center in Los Angeles Oct. 2-3. The two Staples Center dates grossed a combined $2,238,937. Next, Bieber plays three dates in Canada, the first of which is tonight, Oct. 10, at Rogers Arena in Vancouver, Oct. 12 at Scotiabank Saddledome in Calgary, and Oct. 15 at Rexall Place in Edmonton.
Country music was well represented on the chart this week. Kelly Clarkson grossed more than $600,000 with her Sept. 27 show at Sydney (Australia) Entertainment Center, while Lady Antebellum brought 6,379 fans out for their Sept. 22 show at Neal S. Blaisdell Center in Honolulu, Hawaii. That same night, Sept. 22, Bonnie Raitt performed at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles to a crowd of more than 5,500.
