Kanye West — one-half of "Watch the Throne'

We're getting our first glimpse at the traveling royal extravaganza that is Watch the Throne, a worldwide tour for the two kings of arena hip hop — Jay-Z and Kanye West. Atlantic City's Boardwalk Hall was the first stop to appear in Venues Today's Hot Tickets report (their 13th overall) and the gross certainly stands up to royal standards. The single date grossed $1.6 million in front of 12,746 people with tickets ranging from $59.50 to $250. The pair are slated to play a double-booking of shows at the United Center in Chicago, before heading southwest and eventually climbing up the Pacific Coast for a double night at Rogers Arena in Vancouver.

Cirque du Soleil's Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour continues to post massive grosses. This week, the acrobatic tribute to the King of Pop posted $4.2 million in grosses with shows at Rexall Place in Edmonton, Alberta; the Rose Quarter in Portland, Ore. and the recently opened Matthew Knight Arena in Eugene, Ore. — home to University of Oregon men's and women's basketball teams.

Also on this week's charts, AEG Live's Latin marquee act Enrique Inglesias scored $1.4 million with a Nov. 4 gig at Madison Square Garden,  while two  country powerhouses — Taylor Swift and Reba — raked in a combined $1.1 million for AEG Live/The Messina Group. The Geico EnduroCross ended its 2012 season with a championship series at the Orleans Arena in Las Vegas on Nov. 19 for $108,603. The wild off-road motorsport is featured on the cover of this month's Venues Today magazine.
