Monster Jam trucks into Hot Tickets

Monster Jam drove its way into the number four spot in the 15,001 or more category in the Venues Today's Hot Tickets Report. More than 19,000 people attended the event at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tenn., Feb 10-11. Monster Jam has many units on the road and has events Feb. 17-19 at Tingley Coliseum in Albuquerque, N.M., Spokane (Wash.) Arena and Consol Energy Center in Pittsburgh. Feb. 17-18, Monster Jam will be at Thompson Boling Arena in Knoxville, Tenn.; BancorpSouth Arena in Tupelo, Miss.; Hampton (Va.) Coliseum; Tallahassee-Leon County (Fla.) Civic Center; and Macon (Ga.) Coliseum.

After securing only two spots in last week's Hot Tickets, Cirque du Soleil is back with three separate shows charting this week. Michael Jackson: The Immortal World Tour grossed $3,627,938 in three shows at Toyota Center in Houston. The same show grossed just over $1.1 million in two shows at Scottrade Center in St. Louis, Feb. 7-8.  Michael Jackson: The Immortal  World Tour opens today at New Orleans Arena and moves to BOK Center in Tulsa, Okla., Feb. 18.

Country music continues to do well with George Strait, Rascal Flatts and Zac Brown Band all making the chart. Rascal Flatts tickets for their Feb. 9 show at Jacksonville (Fla.) Veterans Memorial Arena started at $24.95, whereas tickets for their Jan. 28 show at Atlantic City (N.J.) Boardwalk Hall started at $40. As a result, the Florida show grossed $376,003 as opposed to over double that number in New Jersey.
