Edlen Electrical Exhibition Services has announced three additions to its Baltimore office. Nikolas Buckler has joined as an event manager. Rocco Cash joins the company as an electrical journeyman and brings 11 years of electrical experience to the position. Dan Fuller has joined as director of Operations.
Industry veteran Bob Cayne has been appointed president of Live Nation Concerts in the new office in Las Vegas. Cayne is a 10-year Las Vegas resident and will be in charge of the company’s existing concert operations as well as directing the development of the company’s concert and venue growth plan.
AudienceView Ticketing has announced Jay Deen in the newly created role of VP Product Marketing. Deen has spent the last 15 years in the telecommunications sector of the company where he most recently focused on social networking services. Maureen Andersen, formerly head of INTIX, joined AudienceView in October as director of Business Development. Andersen works out of the Denver office.
Veteran sports marketer Andy Dolich has opened his own sports consultancy in Los Altos, Calif. Prior to opening this consultancy, Dolich was COO for two years of the San Francisco 49ers of the National Football League. Dolich’s consultancy, entitled Dolich & Associates, will offer counseling on property sales and marketing.
Damara Gomez has been announced as the San Diego Convention Center Corporation’s director of National Accounts. Gomez comes to the position with more than 15 years of hospitality experience and before coming to the position, served as convention sales manager for the Hilton Washington and Capital Hilton Hotels.
The Gwinnett Center in Duluth, Ga., has announced three new members to their executive management team. Ron Jackson has joined the center as assistant GM. Dan Markham has been named the director of Arena Booking for the arena at Gwinnett Center and has previously served as the senior sales manager.
Lloyd Kenyon has been appointed to the position of exhibition manager for Gulf Incentive, Business Travel and Meetings Exhibition. Kenyon has most recently worked as project manager for Dubai World Trade Centre Events and Exhibitions Department.
The Spokane Regional Convention & Visitors Bureau Board of Directors has named Cheryl Kilday as the new president and CEO to begin on Aug. 23. Kilday comes to the position with 25 years of experience and is most recently from Visit Loudoun (Va.), located just outside of Washington.
Kuala Lumpur (Malaysia) City Centre has announced the appointment of Florence Lee as the new training manager and Monica Lim Al Lee as the new sales manager of Meetings and Entertainment. Lee comes to the position with more than eight years of experience in training and business manage-ment and also holds a degree in Human Resources Management and Marketing.
Ken Lapponese has joined B-R Carts & Kiosks, Farmington, N.Y., as senior vice president. Prior to taking this position with the new firm, he had worked for Carts of Colorado. Lapponese is a veteran of more than 30 years in the business.
Charles P. Leone, Jr. has been appointed division manager of Operations for Orlando Venues, including the new Amway Center, scheduled to open this October. Leone has over 15 years of sports and entertainment venue experience, most recently at the Prudential Center in Newark, N.J., where he served as director of Operations since 2007.
Global Spectrum has promoted Shura Lindgren-Garnett to regional VP. She will be expanding her current role as GM of the St. Charles (Mo.) Convention Center in St. Charles, Mo., to include additional Global Spectrum managed venues. Lindgren-Garnett began her career in public facility management over 20 years ago and has held positions with the Amarillo (Texas) Civic Center and the Midland (Texas) Convention & Visitor Bureau. In 2008, Garnett was named one of the Venues Today Women of Influence.
Doug Lyons has been announced as VP of Product Marketing & Strategy for Tickets.com. Lyons has been with Tickets.com since November 2008 when he began as the director of Sales Engineering. He has over 20 years of experience in the entertainment ticketing business and prior to joining Tickets.com, he worked with Paciolan to help develop new markets including performing arts and pro sports.
Mike Nealy has been named chief operating officer of the Phoenix Coyotes, replacing Doug Moss. Nealy joined the Coyotes in 2006 and has also served as executive VP and chief financial officer.
Kandice Nelson has been named director of Marketing and Development of the Burnsville Performing Arts Center (BPAC). Nelson has been in the marketing industry since 1992 and began her entertainment marketing career in 2004, most recently working for VEE Corporation as senior promotion manager/supervisor.
Bob Nocek has been named the president and CEO of the Carolina Theatre of Durham (N.C.), Inc. (CTD). Nocek is a 10-year veteran of the entertainment industry with experience in booking, marketing, operations and ticketing and has been with CTD since 2009. Prior to joining the theatre, Nocek was assistant GM/director of Sales & Marketing for SMG at Wachovia Arena at Casey Plaza in Wilkes-Barre, Pa.
The Phoenix Suns have announced the promotion of Jay Parry to senior VP of Brand and Business Development. Parry has served as president and COO for the Phoenix Mercury for the past seven years and under her leadership, the organization won two championships. As well as promoting Parry, the Suns have also added additional responsibilities to two veteran executives. Lynn Agnello will add Suite Sales and Service to her current role with the team and Ralph Marchetta will add the title of senior VP of Ticket Operations to his title as GM of Sports and Entertainment Services. Marchetta has been with the organization since 1992.
After four years at Populous, Alastair Richardson will be moving to a position as director of CoxArchitecture in Melbourne. He will begin his position on Aug. 9.
Global Spectrum has named Ron Rideout as assistant GM at University of Central Florida Arena in Orlando. Rideout has been with Global Spectrum for over four years and has most recently served as director of Operations for the Colonial Life Arena in Columbia, S.C.
Jared Rose has been named director of Corporate Marketing for Palace Sports & Entertainment (PS&E). Prior to joining PS&E, Rose was VP of Marketing and Sponsorship for Spokane (Wash.) Shock of the Arena Football League.
MSG Entertainment (MSGE) has named Don Simpson as executive VP of Productions. Previous to this, Simpson served as senior VP of Business Development, Venues & Festivals, at MSGE and prior to joining MSGE, Simpson held positions with House of Blues Concerts in Canada.
Tom Tingle has joined Intelligent Engineering as VP and will lead North American business development efforts in the area of sports facility seating bowls.

DARRELL BAKER — 68, concessionaire, July 27, after an extended illness. He worked in the concessions business for over 45 years and was a member of the National Independent Concessionaires Association. Baker is survived by son, Todd (Sue) Baker; daughter, Tammy (Ben) Bendell; foster son, Melvin Melton; brothers Lawrence and Earl Baker, seven grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
RUSS DECURTINS — 50, general manager of the Sioux Falls (S.D.) Arena for SMG, July 27 in Sioux Falls. DeCurtins began managing facilities with the Midcontinent Theatre Company in Aberdeen, S.D., in 1976. After a 12-year tenure, he joined the Sioux Falls Arenas in September 1989 as Food & Beverage Director. He worked as director of Facility Services in 1992 and was named general manager in 1993. He celebrated his 20-year anniversary there in September 2009. Terry Torkildson is filling the spot as the Arena's new general manager. In his years at SMG-Sioux Falls, DeCurtins was a key player in many projects. He is survived by his wife, Brenda, three children, and two grandchildren.
